Don't Box Us In Interview!

I was recently asked by some good friends of mine over at "Don't Box Us In" (aka DBUI) to do an interview on their site and I was absolutely flattered. DBUI is an awesome source for photographers to think "outside of the box" and get some inspiration. The interview went live on their site today and I am super excited about having the opportunity. You can view the entire interview here. Please check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks again to Sofie, Mark, Jason & everyone else at DBUI again for inviting me to interview. Blessings. Jason

Festival International 08!

Thursday was the start of Festival International de Louisiane and I had the chance to see Sonny Landreth & The Blind Boys of Alabama. I am going to try my best to make it out a couple more times this weekend, but I just wanted to share a couple from Thursday. More info can be found on their website here. Blessings. Jason

I am out this weekend for a wedding so I figured I would just post a couple pics from the last couple weeks before the weekend gets into full force. I am also going to start posting camera & lens information for the photo enthusiast out there from the m8 shots. Here are a couple and I hope that everyone has a great weekend! Blessings. Jason

Roadtrip & Harry Benson!

Yesterday I had a chance to hear Harry Benson speak at Tulane in New Orleans and it was truly inspiring. He has photographed every president since Eisenhower, was with Robert Kennedy when he was shot, and even followed the Beatles for their first US tour! It was so nice to hear a photographer who had so much life experience and was so humble. The biggest thing that I took from the event was something that he said, "I try to photograph people as they are and not as I see them." (hopefully that is pretty close). Anyways, here are a couple pics from the event. Blessings. Jason

A day out of town...

I had a wedding out of town today and tried to shoot a bit while out and about. I have been really trying to keep my m8 with me at all times, and it was a good thing that I had it today! I also had brunch with James & Monica today to celebrate his birthday (a couple days late). I hope that everyone has a great weekend! Blessings. Jason

Mink Clothing Photoshoot!

I have a really good friend in Baton Rouge that owns a clothing company and over coffee a couple months back we talked about scheduling a photoshoot. Well... this past Friday we were finally able to make it happen. Jamie, Ben, & I headed over and had a blast with them and all of the models. Here are just a couple... Be on the lookout for Mink clothing in a store near you! Blessings. Jason

The last week has seemed like almost a blur to me, but I wanted to just put up a couple images from my life in the last week or so. Tomorrow should start off with a cup of coffee from my favorite place, so hopefully I will get a little bit of a moment to sit down :) Blessings. Jason

Jen opened up the blinds today and I was inspired by the wash of light coming in to pick up my camera..

Carol & Richard Wedding Day Session

I had a great time last weekend with Carol & Richard in New Orleans on their wedding. I was one of 10 people invited to the ceremony (what an honor) so before the wedding we strolled the streets of the French Quarter to get some photos of them on their big day. Here are just a couple below and more from their wedding coming soon! Blessings. Jason

Parish to Parish is Live!

So first off let me say that I am really excited about this post... You might seen a couple "fine art" images that I posted a while back from a trip that Ben & I took just photographing for fun. Well... this has turned into a full blown project called "Parish to Parish." The whole idea behind the project is to artistically portray every parish in the state of Louisiana. Below is a screen shot of the website which you can visit at http://www.parishtoparish.com Prints are available for sale through the site and our first showing will actually begin tomorrow (Sunday, March 8th) at CC's coffeehouse on Kaliste Saloom Rd.

Please check by the site often for our latest work and let us know what you think.

Blessings. Jason
